About the Founder of Help Them HomeHelp Them Home was created by Heather Smothers, a web & social media designer & manager by trade. Heather attended Delaware County Community College for the Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) Program and worked for a Nursing Home in Kennett Square, PA that believes in the Quaker philosophy of treating people with respect and love, no matter the age, ethnicity, or their beliefs.

After leaving her position at the nursing home, Heather soon began working as a web & social media designer & manager for multiple companies on the East Coast of the United States. In 2011, Heather opened her first web & social media design company. While starting her company, Heather worked and lived with her fiancee and his parents at their home in Delaware.

Soon after, her father-in-law was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s, after battling and beating cancer.

Keeping a good quality of life for him after his diagnoses was very important to everyone and the whole family came together to help him keep his daily routine, keep him informed and above all else, keep him safe. That is how Help Them Home was born. Read the story that inspired the creation of Help Them Home…

5 years after the diagnoses, Bill Smothers passed away.

Help Them Home is dedicated to Bill Smothers of Hockessin, Delaware and some of the proceeds from Help Them Home will be donated to the Alzheimer’s Association help #EndAlz
